MY OWN DESIGNS
This is my entry in the Australian Cloth Doll Challenge 2003
My aim was to make a lady from the 18th century wearing a sack dress, also known as contouch and & to have it as
close to the real thing as I could get it.
I found patterns from the time, including all undergarments (most of which are hidden) and reduced them to fit my doll.
The shoes are hand made from brocade and the chemise is pintucked. The stomacher is boned and the hair is copied from
the paintings of the day.
